I’ve just been down at the bay looking at the moonlight on the water. I think I will never in this world stop wanting to possess beauty—I mean not just to behold it, but to keep it, forever. Only in extinction or in heaven will I cease to dread loss.

Reading the comments on older posts without noticing the newer ones is something I’ve done too – I find now that Facebook is quite handy for drawing attention to new posts.
Yesterday evening we had a clear half moon in the southern sky, with the setting sun still visible to the west. Magical.
