Well, I started smiling when I saw “radio flyer” in the address. Oh, to have the time to do something like that.

After two hours of driving lessons today, just looking at it made me feel exhausted.

I laughed with sheer delight at that first picture of it coming around that turn.

When my youngest daughter was 3, she was very sick in the hospital for 3 days. They would pull the kids around the hospital in Radio Flyers like this http://www.radioflyer.com/wagons/town-and-country-wagon.html
It was the only time she wasn’t miserable the entire time that she was there, so even I hadn’t had a Radio Flyer that I loved when I was younger, I would always love them for that reason.

I remember those wooden-sided ones. I’m not positive we (my siblings & I) ever had a Radio Flyer so I’m not sure where my affection for them comes from. Though really the charm of this is less that it’s a Radio Flyer than that it’s this huge toy that somebody put an awful lot of work and ingenuity into, for sheer fun.
