It indicates the approximate location of my house. You will observe that two of the pink-purple lines meet there.
I hope this isn't going to be a bad hurricane season. It's been very quiet since Katrina.
So, the pink-purple lines are “ensemble members?” It sounds like a symphony is coming to play at your house.

I wonder if a hurricane hits the GOP convention if the Bible thumpers will proclaim God’s judgement, like they do when people they don’t like experience tragedy…
Anyway, hope you are spared. As you know, I don’t know why anyone would choose to live in such an ungodly hot climate, with hurricanes to boot. Here, we only have icestorms, blizzards, and tornados.
Well, of course they will because half of them think that about Romney already.

The cool thing is that one potential track for Tropical Depression Ten, currently in the mid-Atlantic, points straight at North Carolina. Wouldn’t it be great if God smote them all?!?
I’m not actually very worried about TS Isaac right now, but you just never know with these things.
I don’t have any idea what “ensemble members” means.
It looks a bit like Christmas lights.
I would like to hope that it will blow them all away to a nice, pleasant desert island where they can dwell very pleasantly for about a year until we find somebody else to be president.

I will give you a decade at the gymn. I never give anyone an actual decade, just a guesstimate, but it would not sound very good to say, I’ll say a few guesstimates for your intention.
I sat here and puzzled over your first sentence for a minute. It sounded like you were sentencing Janet to a decade in the gym.
I appreciate it, though if you have more intentions than time, for the moment you could spend it on someone else. I’m not yet alarmed, since we’re on the edge of the potential strike zone. Today’s models put it even further away.
I know I don’t exercise enough, but I think that’s a bit harsh.

Sounds like a capital sentence to me, actually.
btw, when I talked about smiting them all above, I meant both conventions. The Dems will be in NC.
That picture looks like a big dragon with his mouth open.

Took me a minute to see what you mean but you’re right, it does. Fortunately the mouth is pointed away from us.
It may have already swallowed us.
AMDG
Good heavens, you’re right.
This morning the projected paths are much closer to me, with one major NOAA one indicating a direct hit. Sigh.
Oh, and I meant to say yesterday, re Daniel’s comment about the climate: what I really don’t understand is how people lived here before window screens existed. Before air conditioning would have been rough enough. But without screens you had a choice between being in an oven and being bitten to death by bugs, with a fair chance of contracting yellow fever. I suppose the Indians had some way of coping, but it’s a wonder Europeans ever settled here.
