Does anybody know how to pronounce "Wycleff Jean"? I mean, the way he would pronounce it.

According to Wikipedia:
Haitian Creole pronunciation: [wajklɛf ʒã]
English pronunciation: /ˈwaɪklɛf ˈʒɑːn/
Of course, I don’t know how to translate that into sound. -
I keep saying “wye cliff gene”, and I thought it probably should be “wye clef zhawn”. Which may be what those symbols mean.
Ha ha, Janet. -
Well, I found a YouTube where somebody Haitian said Y-clef–like a treble clef.

And “Jean” of course like Jean Claude Killy.

Why do we want to know?

We’re tired of seeing it in print and figuring we’re hearing it wrong in our heads, but not being sure what it’s supposed to sound like. Aren’t we?

LOL. I never saw it before I read it here.

Well, I was familiar with his name as a musician, but he’s been in the news a lot over the past few days because he’s running for president of Haiti.
