This is really God’s word for me today and I’m sharing it with you (from today’s second reading):
“Brothers and sisters:
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
make your requests known to God.
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Maclin, I am praying that all the people concerned with this situation will receive all the wisdom they need.

Louise, I was struck, to put it mildly, by the appropriateness of that reading today. I didn’t go to Mass till this evening so wasn’t aware of it till then. Our assistant pastor, who’s from India, had some good things to say about it, too. His accent is pretty thick so he makes a printed copy of his homily available before Mass, which is really nice, and I took this one home with me for re-reading. -
