Making the rounds the past few days: The last time a Tiger got beaten this bad they had to pry the golf club out of his wife’s hand. -
Well, that was a decisive victory! Congrats to all concerned.

It really was astonishingly decisive. Nobody expected it, except maybe old-timer coach Bobby Bowden (formerly of Florida State U), who thought it might very well play out as it did. LSU & Bama had played earlier in the season, a very close low-scoring game that LSU won, and most people assumed it would be that close again. I don’t know what happened to LSU. I mean, apart from the Alabama defense, which some sports pundits are saying might be the best ever in college ball.
