What’s wrong with this headline?

“Tropical Storm Debby Threatens Louisiana, Florida”

(This was supposed to be a link to a CNN story, but first I had the wrong URL in there, and then they changed the headline.)

  1. perhaps the computer models had it splitting into two separate storms…..

  2. Actually they did have something close to that for a while yesterday: the storm heading either straight west or straight east. But what I was griping about here was that they had it possibly hitting anywhere between the Florida panhandle and western Louisiana, but they didn’t mention Alabama and Mississippi.

  3. Maybe there’s a city called Louisiana, FL.

  4. Possibly, though as a rule tropical storms are pretty blunt instruments that would rather smash agains a whole coastline than a single city.
