It's depressing to think about how much of one's life is spent just waiting for something to be over.

Or waiting for something to begin.

Most of the time those are two sides of the same coin for me.
The bad thing, considering my age, is that one of the things I often feel I’m waiting to begin is my life. (half-smile) -
At the moment I can be happy with a 4-day weekend–a short preview of the life I’m waiting for.

Waiting for something to be over can be an improvement; it gives you something to aim for. When it’s actually over and you can stop gritting your teeth, sometimes you find yourself at a loss for what to do… well, I do.

Waiting for something to eat that is just exactly what you want and is delicious with no calories.

Maybe. But my position now is similar to the prayer: “Lord, please give me a chance to prove that wealth won’t ruin me.” -
Heh. I don’t think I could pray that honestly, I’m pretty sure wealth would, in fact, ruin me. But then, I’m single and without significant attachments: wealth would be like contraception, mere enjoyment without actual purpose.

I’m always a little worried that wealth has ruined almost all of us in the industrialized world.

Ha, Maclin. We need to find a name for a prayer that in itself contains a negative answer. That’s not really the best way to say what I mean, it’s the closest I can get while I’m hungry.
Does Godot make chocolates. 😉
