Please pray for my daughter-in-law Meghan who fell from a rather high porch onto her head. She seems to be all right, except that she has two cracked vertebrae, and will need surgery tomorrow. Please pray for her health and also that this might help to draw my son back to church. Meghan has not been baptized, and this concerns me a bit.

Surgery will be around 3. I never heard of such a thing.

I always thought it was one of the penitential aspects of surgery that not only the patient but supporting family and/or friends were obliged to get up at some horrible hour.

Very glad to hear it.
She will have to wear a neck brace for 6-12 weeks and be really careful, which will be hard for constantly-on-the-go-never-sits-down Meghan, but otherwise,all is well.
After spending 8 hours in the waiting room talking with my son, I have to say that he is a very wonderful husband. He must have had a good example. 🙂

Great news all around. Sounds like it could have been a whole lot worse. Congratulations on having such a fine son.
