  1. Wow. I’m speechless. Just wow.
I went and checked out his legendary “Mr. Tambourine Man”. Also quite impressive, and possibly superior to this one, difficult to say. And of course there’s always the following Shatner classic, which IMHO is hard to beat:

Shatner’s recordings: an embarrassment of … embarrassments. BTW, are you sure you want to put this entry in the “Music” category?
All together now: Beam me up, Scotty!!!

  2. Isn’t it great?! I remember the “Lucy in the Sky”–as I recall he made a whole album in this vein, on which both of those appeared. Leonard Nimoy did something similar. Both probably worth a lot in the original vinyl.
You’re right, it should be in Poetry, not Music.:-)

  3. check out the video of his version of Elton John’s ‘Rocket Man.’ Words fail.

  4. I look forward to it, as I’m definitely having a Monday.

  5. Just found this…I saw it on TV when my daughter was little but just recently remembered it. Very funny stuff — The Animaniacs vs. one “Willie Slakmer”.
